And, now, for something new! We've had a good four days of downtime, and are grateful for the extra two days gifted to us by the Queen to mark her Jubilee Celebrations. They were most welcome indeed, and rather well timed for us!
In life, we can feel like we are fighting a losing battle or we’re on the losing side. Whether we are tackling fitness or weight loss, facing health issues, dealing with stress and anxiety, or raising children.
It's time for some down time for the Berry Bunch after a busy period for us all. Now it's time for some down time!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I wonder about my life and the way things have turned out. When life gets difficult or mundane or when we simply end up reflecting on our lives, we can end up wishing things had gone differently.
How would you describe your feelings when you are feeling tired, out of salts, harassed or even stressed? When life has got you down, got the better of you, taken it out of you?
I’ll be honest I quote lines from the Lord of the Rings often in my daily life. Mostly whilst among close family members as they understand me, and they too are Lord of the Rings fans! At the start of the first film, Bilbo says to Gandalf, the wizard: “I want to see mountains, Gandalf!”
This week I’ve started the process of using Vimeo to display all of the videos on our website. I say ‘started’ because we have more than 450 videos to ‘process’ and each one needs a little work before it can be added to Vimeo.
Andy B is very happy as he is now able to hold in his hands real life copies of his first ever published book. He is rather excited! Have your bought yours yet?
As a family, what we do has changed over the past couple of years since starting the BerryBunch. I thought it might be helpful for some of those who follow what we do to explain a little more about why we do what we do, and what that actually is!
We had the pre-order open up last week, and now you can buy the book in either format - on eBook digital readers like the Kindle, and in Paperback format too. We particularly love the inspired ideas already coming in - from different people around the world - about how they are happy that they have a book they can hand out to people, who need some hope! Andy B gets raw, and real, in Broken Dreams, and Hope! And it is a hope that can not be quenched, no matter what life throws at him, or anybody. “I want you to know that no matter what you are going through, whoever you are, irrespective of what you have done, there is a Hope that can overcome all of those things.” Andy B Wondering what the book is about? How about reading some of the book reviews we've already had from some of our readers around the world - even on the day they received it!
We're getting a tad exited about the launch of Andy B's first book - Broken Dreams, and Hope! “I want you to know that no matter what you are going through, whoever you are, irrespective of what you have done, there is a Hope that can overcome all of those things.” Andy B gets raw and real in Broken Dreams, and Hope! Through the many difficulties he has faced, and his many broken dreams, there is one thing that always keeps his head above the water – hope! And it is a hope that can not be quenched, no matter what life throws at him, or anybody.
Broken dreams happen to all of us. It can be as simple as looking forward to a cup of tea when we get home from work, only to find you forgot to buy some milk. It can be waking up to a letter that has been pushed through your door over night telling you that you have just 2 months to find a new house to live in, when you know there is no way you can afford to move (we've had that happen, more than once).
The launch of my first book - Broken Dreams, and Hope! is just days away now, as Friday 25th March looms ever closer. I'm super excited to see this book go from a request by a great friend of mine in Nigeria - for me to produce something to do with suffering in today's world in September 2021 - to hitting publish on my first ever book in Spring 2022. You can now pre-order a copy of the eBook version as of now, via Amazon at this link. The Paperback version will be available from Friday morning, God willing!
I was thinking about what Lady Galadriel said to the weary travellers who made up The Fellowship of the Ring, when they all stopped off on their journey at her place. The Lord of the Rings characters who stood in front of Lady Galadriel, as she welcomed them to Lothlórien, had been through some particularly difficult trials to say the least. Together, the group of nine fought some really evil opponents within an inch of their lives, and experienced fear like nothing else, having been pursued by a Dark Lord, a bunch of dark riders and some exceptionally ugly warriors all intent on killing them. If this was not enough, this group of weary wonderers had lost their beloved friend on their travels.
We've checked through the proof of Broken dreams, and Hope! And apart from a couple of super tiny tweaks and edits, we're good to go for Andy B's first, ever, proper, page turning book! This means that the books will be officially published in just 7 days time. Eek!!
