Wondering what the book is all about? Let this shed a little light on it. (available on Friday)

Andy B

Everything in a person flows out of their heart. The whole of life is heart work flowing from enlivened thoughts. Truly thoughts matter!

Jesus said you would know a tree by its fruit. The fruit of a tree is a consequence of the root it’s connected to. An orange can never come from an apple tree root. The core of who you are is evidenced by your life thinking and actions resulting. That’s why what is on the inside is so much more important than what is on the outside. Interior work matters. You can temporarily mask, bury, or fake the veneer of your world, but one day it will show.

Ultimately, what’s in your heart will reveal who you are.

Little, daily and consistent choices shape it all. Little thoughts, anchored to bigger truths, for a flourishing God-sense life!

The thoughts and inclinations of the heart shape the reality of who you and I are. They shape our thinking, which ultimately shapes our actions. So this book is about more than thoughts. It’s about ordering our lives under the good grace of God in the mix of this brilliant and broken world.

The disarming invitation of this book is that we might “let God run some diagnostics as you listen to the Holy Spirit!”

This book is a fizzy bundle of word-full, picture-rich, kingdom-shaped possibilities! Whole-life discipleship, lived-theology, and grown-up experience rings true here in vivid detail and radiant colour.

Andy offers us a collision of the ordinary and unexpected in the beckoning of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. Just a Thought… is “a collection of pregnant brain thoughts.” But it’s so much more than this. Andy reflects a determination, character, and grasp of God in His loving purpose and wise ways.

Thoughts are the incubation unit for the firing pattern of neurons, which eventually leads to a new way of being.

Proverbs 23:7 captures an enduring truth when it says, ”As a person thinks, so they are!” So may the thoughts of our lips and the lived truths of our hearts be truly pleasing in your sight. For you, Lord, are my Rock and my Redeemer!
