Something 4 Sunday, Season 2, Episode 2
This week we’re looking at Worship!
Jo Jo reads Psalm 150 using the Good News Translation.
Andy B looks at the topic of worship. He looks at why Worship can change us and the room we’re in; why it matters that we keep worshipping and the difference our worship can make to others.
For our Family Prayer Time, Jo Jo looks at a way we can say thank you to God, and remind ourselves when we’re down how good God really is. Andy B used an old cardboard box, cutting off the top and using it as a lid. With a small slit for posting our prayers of thanks, and some red paper glued to the outside, he made the perfect, custom, post box.
In our Object Lesson for today, we show you how you can write your own Psalm and following the great example of King David – who wrote the Psalms – is to write our own Psalm. If you’re feeling a bit low, and wondering where God is, read some Psalms and you’ll get the idea. So very often, at the start of the Psalm King David laments about how God is distant and doesn’t care about him. By the end of the Psalm, this is totally reversed, and King David is worshipping and Praising God’s name once more. Writing your own Psalm is super easy to do – so have a go. It may help a lot when you’re feeling a bit low!
