Temporary or permanent. You might see this in an advert for a job. But there are many temporary things in the world, that became permanent features. From the Eiffel Tower to a bridge built after World War II and “pre-fab” houses in the UK, some temporary things last well, but others show their age quickly.
Much like the temperature of our lounge, that fluctuates with the sun, we can choose to warm it via the fireplace, or open the curtains and let the real source of warmth in. And, as the lounge warms up, we open the door to the entrance hallway, and the heat then spreads through the rest of the home. Of course we could skip the fire, and just be cold and miserable, in the hope that it warms up with out any effort on our part. But, like life, that just doesn't happen! It's often said that hope isn't a strategy. But, it can be! Especially when that hope is not in a 'something', but it is placed upon a 'someone': that someone has a name, and His name is Jesus
