Today is a good day! We’ve got two loads of washing on our washing line blowing in the gentle breeze and sun. As a stat at home dad, this makes Andy B very happy! Inside the home, the hoover has been finally repaired and the carpets have been thoroughly gone over. As has the stairs, and lots of dusting has happened too. In our homes, and in our Spiritual lives we need lots of maintenance. Dirt and dust appear no matter what we do, especially if you use a wood burning stove a lot! In our walks with Jesus Christ dirt and dust constantly appears too, blocking our ability to see God, and who He is.
Go Deeper with Andy B, as he looks at Ecclesiastes 12:1-14 and what it all means. He challenges those of us who are young not to waste our youth; it is short and time flies by. He also reminds us of the dangers of making decisions based on how many likes we get on social media.

In addition, Andy B draws our attention to the man who had the most pleasure in life, King Solomon himself, and what conclusions he reached on the subject of pleasure.
Parenting can be tough. But, thankfully, there is a instruction manual we can download that will teach us all we ever needed to know. Our lives on this planet, are not designed to be lived out in isolation. God made us to live in Community. And in the bible, we find the perfect instructions to live the best lives we can, and see perfect examples of how to parent.
During our morning Church Service today there was lots of talk of God lighting up the path ahead of us; of how He illuminates the next part of the road that we need to drive along and how, as we move into that next stretch, God then lights up the next part and so on. This reminded me about a time, recently, when we had to get the wheels on our car realigned. They simply were not all pointing in the same direction
Are we connected just enough to fool a diagnostic test? Or are we so connected we're streaming in better than HD quality? Remembering of a time sheep got in the way of a Radio Broadband connection, Andy B thinks about how connected we are to God.
Andy and family bought a Christmas Tree. And to get it Andy B had to wrestle to get the one he wanted - the one at the back.
Sheep produce wool, because they're sheep. Just like us - when we walk with God the fruit of the Holy Spirit is the natural outpouring of that relationship.
So we had to replace a door seal/gasket from our washing machine which was starting to fail. While we caught it before it had a chance to cause any damage to anything, it got me wondering about how connected we are to God - where our seals are perished or warped, and allowing stuff to get in between us and God that shouldn't.
