I was cycling the exact same route for several days in a row. However, the wind direction – and speed – changed each day. I went from having a tail wind on a stretch of road one day, to a head wind on the same section of road the next. I saw my average speed double with the wind behind me, and drop to half when it was against me. It was quite noticeable!

This week I’ve started the process of using Vimeo to display all of the videos on our website. I say ‘started’ because we have more than 450 videos to ‘process’ and each one needs a little work before it can be added to Vimeo.

If you have ever played Snakes and Ladders it is a super simple game. Shake your dice, move the number of spaces you’re told to move and the basic goal is to never land on a snake! Ladders help you jump up the game, to get nearer to the end (first one to the end wins!). But, land on a snake, and it takes you back the way you’ve just come. But, I wonder if we sometimes thank that God is sitting there just wishing and hoping for us to land on a snake. But, that simply isn’t God’s nature.

The word ‘change’ can often conjure up our worst nightmares. It means letting go of things. And learning new things. It means we won’t be able to use that remote control from memory – we’ll have to stop and look for the buttons we want, that are no longer there, because now they’re in a different position, have a different shape and have a different word – so we walk over to the TV and turn if off by hand. You know, that kind of change!
